baby blues

things that help:
  • going for a walk/run
  • fresh air
  • writing 
  • being productive, even in a small way, every day
  • sleep  (ha)
  • the luxury of an uninterrupted conversation
  • putting effort into my appearance
  • smiles from sweet Silas
  • watching Nico dance
  • a good Pandora station
  • whispering thank you 
things that do not:
  • weighing myself (or attempting to wear certain jeans for that matter)
  • sitting on the couch watching netflix all day
  • staying indoors
  • fretting over the messes, messes everywhere
  • drinking too much coffee
